Guide/Wiki
Dusts
Dusts are pure forms of resources. In Minecraft, there are already two important dusts: Redstone Dust and Glowstone Dust. With the Obsidian Ingots mod, there is also Gold Dust, Iron Dust, Platinum Dust, and Obsidian Dust. Dusts can be combined with a Platinum Ingot to create the dust's corresponding ingot.
Getting Dusts:
Dust can be obtained by putting a resource's non-pure form (Ore, Obsidian Block) into an Enrichment Chamber. Below is an example of obtaining Obsidian Dust from an Obsidian Block:
Notice how the machine extracts the Obsidian Dust from the Obsidian Block. This works the same for other resources -- putting Iron Ore, Gold Ore, Redstone Ore, or Platinum Ore into an Enrichment Chamber will return the resource's corresponding dust.
Dusts' other uses:
Dusts can be used in other ways, too. You can use the Combiner to obtain a resource's ores from it's dust. Below is an example:
Notice how the machine combines the cobblestone and Redstone Dust to create Redstone Ore. The same works for other resources, and you can get Obsidian Blocks back by putting Obsidian Dust into a Combiner with Cobblestone. Another example of dust usage is obtaining dust from ingots. This is done by putting a resource's ingot into a Crusher. Below is an example:
Notice how the machine crushes the Platinum Ingot into Platinum Dust. This is useful if you accidentally create too many ingots!
Magic
The Obsidian Ingots mod, along with bringing you what was previously discussed, has a few special extra features. These features include but are not limited to the ability to control the world's weather, time, and lightning. Before you can get started, you need to craft a few basic elements:
Enriched Alloy (Dust location does not matter, as long as you have all 6 kinds):
Theoretical Elementizer (Most powerful, and therefore hardest to obtain machine):
Alright! So you managed to get the incredible amount of resources it takes to create a Theoretical Elementizer. Next, you're gonna want to find even more hard to obtain stuff. The machine runs on Diamonds, and converts Enriched Alloy into one of the random 3 items:
1. Steve's Stopwatch -- A mystical stopwatch that has the power of changing the time of day to 4 settings.
2. Weather Orb -- A strange ball of an unknown material that can change the weather at your desire.
3. Lightning Rod -- A staff of the gods that can strike lightning whenever and wherever you please.
Simply put an Enriched Alloy into the top slot of a Theoretical Elementizer, with a Diamond in the bottom slot. The machine will create one of the magic items. Below is an example:
Notice how the machine takes in the Diamond and Enriched Alloy, and returns a Steve's Stopwatch. Note the machine takes 5 times that of a Furnace's smelting time to create one of the magic items.
